SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — State Treasurer Larry Pack toured 黑料吃瓜网University during a visit to Shepherdstown on June 17.
The Treasurer received an update on several construction projects and programs supported by state funding.
鈥淚t鈥檚 exciting to see how 黑料吃瓜网University is working to bring a new student experience to their campus, as well as working on research innovation that will positively impact the state.鈥� Treasurer Pack said. 鈥淚nvesting in higher education means investing in the future, and our next generation of leaders here in the Mountain State. It鈥檚 an honor to join 黑料吃瓜网University President Dr. Mary J.C. Hendrix and see all the upgrades that will greatly benefit 黑料吃瓜网students and the local economy here in the Eastern Panhandle.鈥�
Treasurer Pack joined President Hendrix for a campus tour that started at the construction site of the new Dining Hall and Multipurpose Building on West Campus.
The facility brings the University鈥檚 main dining hall to the same side of campus as residence halls and creates needed space for athletics and conference venues.
It is being funded using part of $30 million provided by the state.

Treasurer Pack also toured the Center of Excellence Photobiomodulation (PBM), a treatment option for a variety of diseases and conditions, including opioid addiction.
The tour concluded at the Agri-business Center at Shepherd鈥檚 Agricultural Innovation Center at Tabler Farm.
The center supports numerous academic programs, including environmental science and business.
