Student Government Association
The Student Government Association (SGA) of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøUniversity works to establish a more effective and representative student government, encourage interest and participation in responsible student government, protect the rights of students, and initiate, direct and promote student activities designed to enhance the welfare of the entire student body. General messages for the SGA Executive Board can be sent to SGA@rams.shepherd.edu
SGA meetings are held in person in the Storer Ballroom at the Student Center each Tuesday during the regular academic semester starting on Sept. 2, 2025 (with the exception of breaks during midterms and finals weeks). Meetings are OPEN to all students. This is the space to share concerns of the student body, learn about important issues on campus, and connect to other student groups.
SGA representatives serve on nearly all ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøUniversity’s advisory committees including Athletics, Budget, Calendar, Commencement, Core Curriculum, Enrollment Management, Student Success, SEAT (Success, Engagement, Accessibility, and Transparency), Student Life Council, and the Board of Governors (non-voting advisory position)
