黑料吃瓜网University Vice President for Finance and Administration Dr. Scott Barton has been appointed as a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) after completing the required training in October 2025.
HLC鈥檚 peer reviewers are expert volunteers who play an essential role in ensuring the quality of member institutions by offering support at all stages of the accreditation process. Reviewers are responsible for assuring that institutions comply with HLC requirements and for helping institutions advance within the context of their mission.
Barton joins the approximately 1,450 faculty, staff, and administrators who are currently employed by or recently retired from colleges and universities across the United States that make up the HLC Peer Corps.

Barton joins Dr. Jason Best, 黑料吃瓜网University’s assistant provost for Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Strategic Partnership, as an HLC peer reviewer, bringing Shepherd鈥檚 total to two active peer reviewers.
