Notation Types
UPDATES
Share new, relevant and valuable information about a student’s decisions, experience, progress, and/or needs.
TOPICS MAY INCLUDE: | |||
Status change or further details from a previous notation (update or alert) | Reflection of a conversation with a student | Lack of social fit | Career/internshipÌý discussion |

ALERTS
The information requires timely action by the student or the student’s success network—ideally within 72 hours of a deadline or made aware of a particular issue or concern.

Using Categories
Assigned Responders will address notices based on the selected category (or categories)—a crucial step to provide students with the appropriate support.

- All notifications (i.e. Alerts, Updates, etc.) are viewed by the Director of Student Success Center and identified Responders.
- Action(s) taken are determined by the chosen category.
- The goal is to empower the student with knowledge and confidence to take action.
