ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøUniversity President Dr. Mary J.C. Hendrix announced that Dr. Kelly Hart was selected to serve as vice president for development and annual giving at Shepherd.
This will be a homecoming for Hart, who previously served as the vice president of enrollment management at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøfrom 2020 to 2024.
She left to become the chief of staff at Mitchell College in New London, Connecticut last January.
Hart said she is excited to be coming back to Shepherd.
“I am thrilled to be coming home to Shepherd,” Hart said. “I know how important this role will be in moving us forward and cannot wait to get started.”
Hendrix echoed Hart’s sentiments, adding that Hart is the right person for the job at this time.
“We are so glad to have Dr. Hart with us again,” Hendrix said. “She loves the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøcommunity, and she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in higher education to this new position.”
A graduate assistant will support Hart as she operationalizes the development office and works in partnership with the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøUniversity Foundation.
Hart’s career in higher education spans fundraising, strategic planning and execution, enrollment optimization, and work in academic and student affairs.
Before her time at Mitchell, Hart was the executive director of admissions at Westfield State University in Westfield, Massachusetts, the associate director of athletics and faculty member at Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts, and taught and coached field hockey and lacrosse at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
She begins her new role at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøon June 2.
