Seeding Your Future Initiative, Conference, and Workshops cannot happen without YOU – the volunteers!
Whether you are a student volunteer or a faculty workshop leader, you are the most valuable part of this experience.
Student Volunteers
Students can volunteer for any SYFI events or even research projects! Typically student volunteers are ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøUniversity students, but if you are a high school junior or senior or a friend of the university, feel free to reach out especially if you need to get service hours. Please read the following for details:
- Students interested in volunteering for the one-day Seeding Your Future Conference, please fill out this form: ()
- Students interested in volunteering for monthly workshop series, held on the third Tuesday each month at 5:30-7:00 PM – please contact either Dr. Cole (jcole @ shepherd . edu) or the faculty leader running the workshop to get scheduled to help out.
- Students interested in volunteering for serving on the Seeding Your Future Committee, which meets several times a month and plans out the events – please contact Dr. Cole (jcole @ shepherd . edu).
- Students interested in working on the research part of the Seeding Your Future Initiative – please contact either Dr. Cole (jcole @ shepherd . edu) or Dr. Murphy (smurphy @ shepherd . edu) for more information.
Faculty Workshop Leaders
Faculty can volunteer for any SYFI events and the SYFI Committee, which meets a few times a month and plans the events. Please read the following for details:
- Faculty interested in volunteering for the one-day Seeding Your Future Conference, please fill out this form: ()
- Faculty interested in running one of our monthly workshops – please contact Dr. Cole (jcole @ shepherd . edu) for more information and to check on what dates are needed
- Potential dates this academic year – Sept 16, Oct 21, Nov 18, Jan 20, Feb 17, Mar 17, Apr 21, and May 19 – from 5:30-7:00 PM.
- Faculty interested in volunteering for serving on the Seeding Your Future Committee, which meets several times a month and plans out the events – please contact Dr. Cole (jcole @ shepherd . edu).
