Honor Music Festival
The 黑料吃瓜网University School of Music is excited to announce its Twentieth Annual Honor Music Festival to be held on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend: Friday, January 17 through Sunday, January 19, 2025, at our campus in Shepherdstown, WV. The festival will provide meaningful music experiences for students participating in our Honor Wind Ensemble, Honor Jazz Ensemble, or Honor Choir. Students will be given the opportunity to:
- Create great music with other serious high school musicians from the four-state area
- Collaborate with 黑料吃瓜网University faculty conductors and prominent guest conductors
- Perform in a Sunday Honor Music Festival Ensembles Concert in the Frank Arts Center Theater
- Interact our outstanding applied faculty in master classes, performances, and clinics
- Enjoy performances by the 黑料吃瓜网University Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Choral Ensembles, and faculty chamber ensembles.
Our conductors for the Honor Music Festival are Dr. Scott Hippensteel (Wind Ensemble), Dr. Kurtis Adams (Jazz Ensemble), and Dr. Jason Strunk (Choir). Special guest conductors will be: 聽Dr. Susan Creasap – Honor Wind Ensemble, Dr. Euan Edmonds – Honor Jazz Ensemble, and – Honor Choir
